I've had this one up my sleeve for awhile... and decided to post it, to enter it into a photography contest.. [link] Vodooclown has started... This shot is the ornament from a 50's Desoto funeral limo wagon... Which I found in a junkyard....

that is one of the coolest things i've ever seen in a junkyard. nice find, can tell me who it is?, I belive i've seen him on the History channel before.

Wow, Paul! If you ever had enough cash to go around and buy thisstuff up, and sell it to the "Wright" crowd, man, you'd be a bazillionaire! :lol:

What an excellent shot of a 1951 DeSoto hood ornament! The only year to actually feature a bust of the great explorer Hernando DeSoto (1949 had a generic hood ornament with Hernando DeSoto "medallions" on each side), although I never minded the bosomy flying angelic goddesses on the other years' hoods!

Iowa sure is a rich treasure trove of automotive history!!! :)
